The Barrymore is an old theater, which would be fantastic if it underwent an expensive renovation. For now, it is an OK place to see live music for bands that are not in their heyday. The vending is basically a candy and popcorn bar with a couple of other alcohol type bars. It would be nice if candy and popcorn could be purchased at the same time as alcohol.

Seating is good down below! It’s a small venue and very tight in the lobby. Parking is real tough. I recommend taking a ride share. It was easy

This beautiful old historic building is indeed a bonus to this growing neighborhood. However parking is seriously an issue. Many one-way narrow residential streets surround the venue. Sign say parking in back - holds about 10 cars....... no where near the need for the 1058 seats they sell for shows. Honestly drove around for 45 minutes looking for parking which mostly was posted residents only of the multiple hi-rises nearby & for restaurants/bars. If you go, park somewhere else and UBER/Taxi to the venue.

We were at the Maverick's concert. The Barrymore was a perfect venue for this event. It was easy to get there and easy to park close. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had some problems getting the tickets on my phone and they got it all straightened out. The concert was fantastic and seats were perfect. This nostalgic theatre provided an awesome experience. Thank You

Nostalgia is one thing. Being run down, dirty & just plain falling apart is another. And the latter is what describes the Barrymore Theatre. I'm sure back in it's hay day it was a wonderful place to go for a thrilling night out. However, those days are long past this place. They have been taking money in over the years but have clearly not put one dime back into the place. I didn't even want to sit on the seats for fear of what I was going to catch. They have a lot of nerve charging the admission prices they are doing. Oh & don't forget about those elusive fees they all seem to be charging. Do yourself a favor. Spend a few extra dollars & go to The Overture in Madison. You will get a first-class experience there with lots of great shows to choose from. Instead of going to the Barrymore Theatre where you can't wait to get home to shower!
