tripadvisorWe had a fantastic stay here! The location was prime, offering a breathtaking view of the Capitol building and easy access to all things Madison. Despite being so close to the Capitol building, our room was peacefully and quiet. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, featuring a great bed with plenty of large, fluffy pillows, and a clean, modern shower that was very easy to use. The entire property was spotlessly clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the quiet indoor pool. Another major highlight was having a delicious breakfast at The Post Restaurant on our last morning.Additionally, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful during both check-in and check-out. We would definitely stay here again!
MoreAlways an excellent stay. Rooms are clean and quiet. The location is perfect for food and drink choices. Everyone we came across exhibited great customer service.
MoreStayed at this hotel for our son's wedding. The reservations were all confused by BW despite my making 3 calls prior to arriving to be sure that all 6 rooms were listed under the individual family member's name. As each person tried to check in, the front desk could not find their reservation which caused frantic calls to me. The front desk never figured out or corrected the issue. They seemed clueless. A second issue was with the older male valet with glasses who was extremely rude to myself on arriving and to my daughter on departing. We have never experienced that type of behavior from a valet service before and it was the opposite of what you would expect from a high end hotel. My husband and I travel quite a bit and stay in hotels about 60 nights per year. This is the worst experience I have ever had with these two aspects.
MoreArrived around midnight, but the front desk was still well staffed and cordial. Room was beautiful and love the elegant design touches around the meeting room areas. Staff setting up our meeting area were SO gracious. When leaving, I didn't ask about the shuttle in advance. I just popped up at the valet, and JACK shuttled me (party of 1) to the airport immediately. He shared some history of the hotel and the area. It was a great ending to a great stay.
MoreI am giving this hotel a 5 because it greatly exceeded my expectations. I was there for 5 days for a conference and was impressed by the location, room size, friendliness of the staff and the hotel bar/restaurant. They even have a free hotel shuttle to and from the airport. The location is across the street from the Statehouse which is a must see. During the week in the summer there are free concerts at night on the lawn of the Statehouse and then the best farmer’s market on Statehouse. I had a room that looked out at the Statehouse. It had a sitting room and separate bedroom. The room included a microwave and small fridge. There was a large TV, chair, desk and couch in the sitting room and then another TV, king bed, chair, armoire and two nightstands in the bedroom. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower with great lighting. Our group really enjoyed the hotel bar/restaurant - especially the Happy Hour. However be sure to visit all of the restaurants and bars in the area! There is a large indoor pool with a great sitting area and fitness center. While I was there for a business conference I would definitely go back with family or just couples. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly.
