'Duck' rides are one of the most unique attractions and tourist activities of Wisconsin Dells. The city's immense natural wealth is best tapped on this 7.5-ton 'Duck' that slides and glides through rocky sandbars, gorges, glaciers, creeks, rivers, and other scenic landscape that mark the Dells. The Original Wisconsin Ducks is a one-hour tour which covers spots like the Red Bird Gorge, the Sandbar Crossing, and the beautiful Wisconsin River. One of the most exciting moments in the cruise is the 'Splashdown', where the 'Duck' plunges into the Wisconsin River and Lake Delton, that makes your hear skip a beat. A 'Duck' tour is integral to your Dell experience and the Original Wisconsin Ducks ensure a fun ride! Check website for seasonal hours and more.

tripadvisorA great way to see the lower Wisconsin river. We also took the package that included a boat tour of the upper section of the river. The stop at Witches Gulph was outstanding.
MoreThis seems like a must-do in the Dells. Now that I've done it, I have no desire to go again. It's a fun trip through the narrow forest and you have two different water entrances. It's a tight fit into those seats and you can smell the diesel the duck pumps out. Our tour guide stopped in the middle of the forest and recommended purchasing a tour book, which was basically a tip that was going straight into his pocket. It was awkward and a bit too lengthy of a stop.
MoreI’ve been on the Ducks tour several times, it’s always a fun experience. Today I took my family for their first experience and they all loved it. Our tour guide, Nelson, was an excellent host!
MoreIs it your first time in the Dells, definitely go. Would we do it on a second trip? Probably not. What we like: the experience, WWII history, going fast, the cheesy jokes, and the views-both on the path and on the river. What we don’t like: exhaust smell, heat from engine, the sound system had a short and only worked part of the time and sometimes was not loud enough. We could do without the boats that go super-fast and the screaming that ensues when the passengers get soaked.--Has nothing to do with the duck boats.Recommend going out when it is a cooler part of the day, either evening or morning. It’s an open-air vehicle with a shade over the top.You purchase an open ticket ahead and show up any day during operating hours to get on a duck. Or walk up and purchase a ticket and get in line.
MoreIt was so easy to buy the tickets online for cheaper and the tour was great. They drove amazing and also had fun facts and silly jokes. I really enjoyed going and would go again.
