It was great to see Shakespeare in the Park after a long absence due to Covid.What a beautiful fun production of “As you like it” These productions are such a wonderful treasure to the people of Buffalo.If you have not gone to one of these productions, please do. Bank your chair and items to eat and drink while you enjoy the play.I would suggest going about an hour early to get a good seat on the hill. Bring a book or magazine to read while waiting for the show to begin.The next shows start July 28, 2022 with a Midsummer Night’s Dream.Again Saul thank you for all you efforts over the years. Definitely an event Buffalo can be proud of.

peasant evening. Plan on arriving an hour before the play, with a meal for your group. eat and enjoy the evening before the play. then enjoy a 3 hour play with an intermission. This is an annual event for us 2 times a year for both plays. enjoy a play under the stars. talent, sound and lighting are very good with plenty of lawn seating. parking is on the road.

An annual outing for my family is the summer Shakespeare in Delaware Park. Always looking forward to this spectacular outdoor treasure we waited until relatives visiting town to join us since they had not ever experienced Shakespeare. We had selected an early weekday, Tuesday, even though forecasts for all-rain-all-day – and we certainly were lucky. The weather included breaks of clouds and sun, but it was very comfortable. We parked on Lincoln Parkway, walked with our chairs and gear to our typical spot “on the hill”, enjoyed our light dinner and snacks, chatted prior to the production and used the convenient portable restrooms. The second production of the 44th season of Shakespeare in Delaware Park “Love’s Labor’s Lost” was a terrific – the actors were professional, easy to hear, and they clearly enjoyed their participation throughout the 2-plus hour (15 minute intermission). During the intermission actors “pass the hat” which permits the audience to contribute to the second-oldest and one of the largest free outdoor Shakespeare festivals in the country; mentioned in the program. Our relatives thoroughly enjoyed the evening. In summary, Shakespeare in Delaware Park is a must do during your summer bucket list. The setting is breathtaking and community focused, the acting is second-to-none, and once you have attended one production you will be looking forward to attending future season productions.

Super talented group of individuals. Recently replaced sound system. Lighting is topnotch. Lots of lawn seating.

We caught Much Ado About Nothing this past summer. Can't beat free entertainment. Talent was exceptional as were the sets and costumes. Bring a lawn chair of you can. Most people brought picnic fare but there were also refreshments for a fee.
