tripadvisorOn April 8th, I booked a couples massage appointment for my parent's 30th anniversary on May 4th, so I booked this appointment a month in advance. Nowhere on their website did they say they would be moving locations. On Friday, April 19th, they contacted me saying they were moving locations and that my parent's appointment had to be moved 15 minutes later since the online booking system was still for their Pearl St. location. I was okay with this because 15 minutes later isn't that big of a deal, plus my parents could enjoy the extra amenities. However, I tried to look up their new address, and it was nowhere to be found, not on Google or their main website. At this point, there was still no note about location changes. I thought it was okay though, because the receptionist was kind enough to text me the address of their new location. Then, they followed up on Sunday, April 21st, saying that the couples massage would NOT be in the same room, so it's two separate massages happening simultaneously. This was disappointing to hear, but I was also okay with it because as long as my parents could enjoy a massage simultaneously on their 30th anniversary, being in different rooms didn't matter. Now, on Thursday, April 25th, they're calling me and telling me they need to reschedule my parent's entire appointment because their new location's opening date has changed to May 8th. I decided to cancel their appointment.Overall, the receptionists who called me about all of these changes were pleasant. Despite all the changes, they tried their best to be positive and friendly. My issue is that when I initially booked this appointment as a present for my parent's 30th anniversary, there was no notification on the website as to the location change. I see they have just recently updated their website that they are moving locations, but I would have preferred a notice before or during the booking. I appreciate that they communicated with me after I booked the appointment, but the multiple changes make me feel like they are unreliable as a business. I understand location changes can be a long and tedious process, but as a customer, I continuously received bad news after bad news from The Dragontree Spa which is really disheartening. After so many changes and trying to be flexible, I don't want my parents to have to deal with this business until they have settled into their new location and become more reliable.
MoreHands down my favorite spa in the area. I've been coming here for over 10 years!I LOVE the ambience of Dragontree. It's a magical experience attending no matter the service, even if it's just for a foot soak.I've enjoyed wonderful services here over the years and if you're local, I highly recommend the monthly subscription!
MoreA friend from another country, whom was told about this spa by a friend whom recently moved to Colorado, told me about this place. And I had already kind of did my research online and found out that it was the best rated place to get a massage in Boulder - not to mention one of the few of not the only place to offer a full body CBD massage. I also met another patron whom had scheduled an appointment around the same time with another healer and we both had booked the same type (the CBD massage) and afterwards we both agreed that it was pretty good.My masseuse, Hollie, was a veteran so to speak with around 15 years and she was just great. Her vibe and even her voice was super chill and laid back. We also seemed to pair well in terms of what I needed out of the massage - she happened to be specialized in back/shoulder/neck issues. Lastly, for that hour of massage, though I had the opportunity to enjoy Hollie working her magic on my back, we did have a pretty paid back conversation about self / body healing and it was pretty scientific but also holistic. She even recommended a book and some ways to deal with food allergies kicking in when I accidentally digest foods that would trigger them. Overall, the place is pretty clean, very well decorated. The staff is very hospitable and the people whom offer the massages are very well knowledgeable and are exceptional at what they do. This is a must visit for anyone looking to pamper themselves while in Boulder.
MoreI had a gift card for here...no idea it even existed! Lovely ambience, and great locker room with steam room and very nice shower...lots of tile and river stones, nice lotions and shampoos, etc. I went for an hour deep tissue massage, and Merideth was excellent. Only negative...it’s a tad pricey for an hour massage compared to the going rate...but I suppose the extra amenities bring the price up. !
MoreI stumbled along this spa while walking to Pearl Street Mall. They had a small blackboard outside the shop with available times. I walked in an had a 90 Swedish massage. The masseuse did a great job! They had lockers, slippers, robes and showers available to use. Definitely reward your post-hiking tired muscles and give this spa a try!
