tripadvisorMy company scheduled a bike tour to Black Cat Farms, and it was a blast! Thank you Herschel and team for making it a fun and memorable experience!
MoreWe had a great time during our bike ride to Black Cat Farm. The scenery was beautiful, pace of the bike ride was just right, and the staff at the Black Cat Farm gave us a wonderful tour and the delicious meal. Would recommend!
MoreI am leaving a review because the business sent me an email asking me to do so. We were enjoying the tour, but it was cut short. The guide seemed like an interesting man with a lot of information. He was taking us on a pleasant afternoon ride around Boulder (a beautiful place). The bikes are fun to ride but they are electric powered and can get going pretty fast (I had never been on an e-bike before and I was surprised how fast they can go). The guide showed us how to operate the bikes and we were having a nice time. Unfortunately, the guide himself took a nasty fall off his bike and the tour had to be cut short. We tried to reach out to the company, but haven't gotten a response (except for the generic email asking me to review them). I think it is important for tour companies to have emergency/contingency plans in place (for example, if a guide is taking a group out there should be someone on call that can be reached in case the guide experiences an emergency). Things happen--which is why there should be back up plans and emergency points of contacts in place. This company didn't seem to have any type of plan in place in the event the tour guide became incapacitated. When this scenario did occur, everyone in our tour group was left scrambling to figure out what to do (eventually someone called 911). As of the writing of this review, I still haven't gotten a response as to whether the guide is OK. At any rate, this seemed like a nice tour and we were enjoying the portion of it that we took. But, there should always be an emergency plan in place and someone affiliated with the company (in addition to the guide) should have known our group was out on the roads and been available to provide assistance in the event of an emergency. Even if the company is small, there can still be emergency points of contact and emergency plans in place. I really hope the guide is OK. However, because of the accident, there was a lot of the tour left that we didn't get to finish (and no one from the company ever reached out to offer any kind of credit or refund for the unfinished portion). And, the fact that the guide took such a bad fall makes me question the safety of e-biking in general. E-bikes feel very heavy and they can go fast with little to no exertion. And, it doesn't seem like any kind of license is required? After this experience, I haven't been back on one and I don't know if I'll try it again.

MoreWe had a wonderful tour with Aaron. We were beginners and he helped us navigate the terrain. Definitely liked the double suspension bikes! Thanks!!
