Fair and Square has quite a variety of free trade items for around the globe. They have a year-round Christmas store that offers a 10% discount from January to September. You can sample chocolate and you should. Have visited a number of fair trade stores throughout the country and found this to be at the top of the list. I did purchase a bread warmer a clay slab with bird design and woven basket to hold the bread. Also the dark chocolate with raspberry.

We love shopping at Fair and Square! They have unique items for everyone and we love learning about the people who make these items! Fabulous way to support the community and help others at the same time!!

This is a cute store with a nice story for each of its fair trade imports. However, I enjoyed looking but did not make a purchase. When I shop for souvenirs or pieces of art from my travels, I like to say its local or handmade from the area I traveled to. I can't imagine purchasing a cute carved stone, hand made in Sierra Leone purchased in McKinney Texas. What do Texas locals make? What stories do they have? Then, you would have a sale, hands down.

I found some unique inexpensive gifts to have on hand for hostess gifts, i.e.decorative wire bowl for bread or fruit and trivet made out of a tree. The clerk graciously boxed them up for me. I enjoyed looking at all the unique items.
