Really nice little park that is well kept and offers some walking paths, places to sit and gardens. I went midday during the week and I was the only person there.

We came across this park unexpectedly walking from the bus back to our hotel. What a hidden gem. A tranquil, lush, green oasis in the middle of light industrial suburbia. It is San Antonio's only privately owned and operated public park. Built in 2005 in memory of Linda Pace's son. Open Tuesday - Sunday 9am to 5pm. Entry is free. There is also a geocache nearby. Continue walking down Camp street to the little bridge that crosses San Pedro creek for a chance to see turtles, fish, ducks and other wildlife. I was amazed to see so much wildlife thriving is what appeared to be an inhospitable place.

What a cool little oasis in an area that totally disguises its presence. Across from a towering art conservatory, this quaint little park has little geyser fountains at the entry that used to emanate forth from the sidewalk and shoot up for kids to play in during the hot summer months. Water restrictions probably put the kibosh on that. Nice little sidewalk leading in a circular path through labeled plalntings of various types with a resteroom pavillion in back. Very relaxing, very refreshing and very unexpected. We just happened to stumble on this neighborhood green space when taking a back way over to Sanchez Ice House for a few adult beverages Billy Joel style (an ice cold beer in the shade . . .just keepin' the faith). As I understand it, they used to (and maybe still do) have jazz music playing at sunset which would be the bees knees to participate in with a glass or two of wine. Nothing like some light jazz to celebrate day's end and the setting sun (unless it's bettered by the presence of an ocean and swaying palm trees)!
