This was a wonderful experience. The staff are so friendly and our pilot was great in explaining everything we were seeing and some history along the way. We did the downtown tour with a 5 year old and he loved sitting up front with the pilot and getting to ask questions. Can’t say enough about how great this place is and how friendly they are, I recommend everyone visit this place at least once.

This 15 minutes tour is amazing. Become an eagle for 15 minutes and see your city’s spectacular views. You won’t see it any other ways. Memorable experience with my wife and 14 year old daughter. Highly recommended to families and adults.

Who knew helicopter tours were available in Austin? I sure didn't until recently. My husband and I took the Austin downtown tour for a personal celebration. The helicopter was a small 4 seater with doors, meaning we were not exposed to the elements. The pilot was very kind, confident and jovial (Carrie). She went through every routine precaution and I felt quite safe. I'm terrified of heights, so naturally I was extremely nervous. However, I easily had a great time once we were up in the air. The helicopter lift off happened quicker than I expected and we had traveled a ton of space in no time (and so did my stomach). The tour went from over east Austin, to right over UT, to around downtown. We were above the buildings, but not so high that everything looked too small. There was something playing on the big screen at the UT stadium and we were able to see it clearly like watching it on a ipad. Turns put us looking almost straight down, which was crazy! The whole flight was maybe 15 minutes. I wish it was longer, but definitely worth it for the price. Note to travelers, the helipad location requires driving on a bumpy gravel driveway/road.

We took the downtown Austin tour (15 minutes) which had amazing views of the city area--- you get a different perspective of Austin from the air. The great thing about a helicopter ride is the wonderful panoramic view. There is two-way communication between you and your pilot so it becomes a guided tour. Austin Helicopter tours were great. Definitely put this high on your list for a unique exciting experience.
