The Oklahoma River is a seven mile portion of the North Canadian River, which was renamed in 2004. It is host to many attractions and events, from the beautiful Chesapeake Boathouse to the summer Oklahoma Riverfest. Recently, a bill was passed permitting the building of a permanent floating grandstand and permanent lighting for night racing events.
