We were in Silverton and decided to do a tour of the covered bridges in the area. All of the ones we visited were fascinating, and the Gallon House Bridge was no exception. If you have a day to spend meandering over the countryside, do a tour of the covered bridges. We did 6 in one day and enjoyed every one of them!

Great road trip to see one of many o0ld covered bridges in the area.Have been here several times over the years in the area and always see something different each time.

Fun to see a part of Oregon history on a rural road between Silverton and Mt. Angel. Very close to main roads so gets you back on track fairly quickly.

Fun stop with interesting information signs on the history and reason for covering this old wooden bridge.
