My initial feeling was “ I hate this”! Stick with it. Riding a Segway can be intimidating, but Maureen wouldn’t let me quit! Within about 5 minutes we were cruising up and down the sidewalks, with our duckies propeller hats spinning. Maureen is a Detroiter, who loves the city and wants to share its hidden charms with visitors. The tour begins by the eastern market( which you should definitely check out on a Saturday) and winds through various neighborhoods. Detroit has so many great murals and architectural gems and Maureen is great at explaining the history behind everything. The route is mainlyBike path and sidewalk so we felt safe and didn’t have to worry too much about traffic. We brought our 14 year old along and he had a great time as well. Can’t wait to come back and try the longer tour.

Maureen was a fabulous tour guide. Her knowledge and experience re: Detroit and the history was wonderful. Plenty of chances for breaks to rejuvenate the feet. Smaller group was perfect for navigating some busier areas.
