Starting at the intersection of Campbell and River Road, this park along the Rillito River is essentially a scenic trail suitable for walkers, joggers, and bikers. You will find the riverbed dry most of the year, so you'll be able to actually walk in the river; but beware of flash floods, especially during the summer monsoon months. The trail offers several pleasant stops with benches, trees, playgrounds and drinking fountains.

tripadvisorThis walk was nice when we were there on Sunday early morning. It’s a great walk and we stopped at the farmers market as well. I’d do this again and I’d do it before 8 am, it’s still cool. Take water and a wide brimmed hat. If you walk west you may see many homeless people; that's the only drawback to the area. The bikers are going too fast so if you can walk on the dirt path that’s a good idea. It’s great there’s a path for walkers!
MoreRillito River Park is considered by TucsonLoop.org, the official site of the city, as the best place to start. It definitely is if you want to be in the middle of everything the Loop has to offer. There are ALOT of restaurants and great coffee shops nearby - such as Cafe Luce and Ren Coffee. I recommend biking east on The Loop for for the best scenery. My second fave spot on The Loop is Oro Valley, starting at Oro Valley Market Place.
MoreGreat place to ride your bike! Paths are amazing and it goes for miles. Places along to stop and rest and some businesses close by to grab food or refreshments.
MoreThe bike trail was as long as one wanted it to be, although not easy to follow at times. We went too far on one segment and had to backtrack
MoreGreat for strolling and esp. biking, amazing mountain views and although the river wasn't a river, it was a nice walk
