This is a late review because I completely forgot the name of the beach! We had such a lovely time at East Beach in Santa Barbara! The beach was spacious, peaceful, and not crowded at all, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the ocean. My niece and nephew absolutely loved it! He had the best time playing with his sand toys, while she loved chasing the seagulls and dipping her little toes into the water. There was plenty of room for them to play and explore, and we really appreciated how quiet and open the beach felt. It was such a lovely place to slow down, enjoy the fresh ocean air, and make great core memories together. East Beach is also conveniently located near the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, making it an easy and accessible spot to visit. Such a beautiful beach for a relaxing family outing. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Santa Barbara!

Nice little stop to stick your feed in the water after the zoo. Beach front parking and views of the Channel Islands.

Great beach to enjoy scenery! The marine layer made the beach not super sunny most of our trip and we didn't get in the water but the paths along the beach were great and there was so much to do around the beach.

Nice beach. It was less crowded than the west side with the pier and marina close by. Good for swimming with little to no waves. I didn't see any scary people. I felt safe walking by myself or with family. There is a playground nearby, so there were lots of families and young kids. There's a little walkway if you need a little assistance getting close to the water or don't want to cross so much sand. There are restrooms nearby and a fancier restaurant.

There is a pedestrian/bike path parallel to the beach. If you walk a bit down from the corner of Stearns wharf and State Street, you will find a nice sandy stretch of beach, a bit away from the wharf itself. Although the beach is not sheltered from the water ocean, the waves are relatively gentle. And there are some pleasant surrounding views. In the immediate area, there is 75 minute free parking.
