I can’t say enough good things about KAF Adventures and my guide, Drew Charness. I had scoured the internet trying to find a partner or guide willing to take on Mt. Olympus as a late-season, car-to-car push, and KAF was the only company willing to work with me to make it happen. From the beginning, they were incredibly reasonable and accommodating. Because of how late in the season we were attempting Olympus, I wanted to wait until we had a better idea of whether the route would still be in passable condition before fully committing. They completely understood my concerns and worked with me rather than pressuring me to book. Once we decided to go for it, the booking process was easy and seamless. The experience with Drew on the mountain was unforgettable. We covered 47 miles, summited Mt. Olympus, and made it all the way back to the car in a single push. Drew did an excellent job gauging my experience and comfort level on technical terrain. For an objective like this, we needed to move light and fast, and he struck the perfect balance between efficiency and making sure we never compromised safety or took unnecessary risks. He taught me some new skills and techniques throughout the day, was great company for a very long day in the mountains, and gave me the freedom to move at a pace that made sense for my experience and goals.Overall, it was genuinely one of the most epic days I’ve ever had in the mountains. I’m extremely grateful to Drew and KAF Adventures for being willing to help me pull off an unconventional objective that most companies wouldn’t touch. I’d absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, capable, and accommodating guide service.

I'm giving Kaf adventures 1 star because of a serious safety incident during its Rock Climbing Mentorship Program. During a practice multi-pich climb, the participant assigned as my partner loaded the GRIGRI back while belaying from the top. Had I fallen, it'd have resulted in an unctrolled fall, leading to a serious injury or death. The guide did not verify the belay setup before I began climbing. I was the one who noticed the error when I got to the top. The fact that this setup went unnoticed for the entire pitch raises serious concerns about KAF’s partner-check procedures, supervision, and risk management.I enrolled because KAF advertises professional instruction in safety evaluation, rope management, and multi-pitch climbing. After this incident, I no longer trust the program to provide that supervision. I cannot recommend KAF Adventures based on my experience. Even though, I emailed the KAF management about this, they haven't responded in two weeks, demonstrating the lack of care about safety.

We climbed and Summited Mount Hood in Oregon. Drew Charness and Kyle Wyatt were our guides. They were great and we had a wonderful adventure. We started at 3am, got to the summit around 11am, and were back to the parking lot at 3:30pm. Working with Kaf was fantastic as they are there every step of the way. You can't go wrong with them and I plan on using them again in the future. I'd work with them right from the start to get all their recommendations on when's the best time to climb, what gear you'll need, and what you should expect. They are the best!

There are guiding outfits, and then there is Kaf Adventures. I've had the pleasure of sampling many of their offerings - from single day clinics, online courses, a 4 month-long mentorship to multiple private/custom trips with my favorite guide, I can wholeheartedly recommend Kaf to anyone. There's a reason why I keep coming back to Kaf guides. They are willing to work with you on designing the trip you want, they meet you where you are skill and fitness-wise, they are open to feedback, they are kind, patient and fair. I've been lucky to ice climb, crack climb, learn trad and rock rescue, practice avalanche rescue, and dial in my multipitch skills all with the Kaf crew.Meanwhile you'll benefit from learning from highly capable and skilled professionals whose passion for what they do is really evident. Their excitement is infectious, and you'll often find yourself in awe of their technical skill and prowess. Watching them in their element is a gift. They make really sound decisions to keep you and themselves safe from the many objective dangers in the wild.Special shout out to Woody who has guided me for 90% of it and whom I'm trust implicitly, and Mick who is the heart of Kaf. Mick will have you smiling all through the online courses which are an excellent way to dip your toe into the world of climbing and mountaineering.
