SKIP THE FOOD!Fish and chips: came out lukewarm, 3 strips of fish and chewy fries for $18!? Al pastor sandwich: came out cold.Asked for a redo: both items came lukewarm. We witnessed several other customers having bad experiences as well. We will not be back.

Maybe get a drink but don’t eat here. There was a sing up that they were out of four menu items and the menu isn’t very big to begin with. I ordered chicken nachos and the chips were stale with no crunch. I told one of the counter people and she just shrugged her shoulders. The park is lovely but skip the food!

Como Park in Saint Paul is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. In addition to the free zoo, conservatory and golf course, Como Lake is worth a visit. Very scenic lake with a biking and walking path around it. The Lakeside Pavilion can also be visited.

I ordered the fish & chips this evening, for $16. That was a disappointment. There were three small, about 3 inch, pieces of fish each just slightly bigger than my finger. They were not battered but appeared to be breaded, and their dark color suggested that they left in the fryer too long. The chips were about 10 small wedge cut potato pieces. It all came with a small portion of tartar, and a pack of ketchup. Not very tasty, and definitely not worth $16.After the fish & chips I was still hungry. I had to be at the location for a community band performance, so I ordered the Cobb salad ($13). It was better than the fish and chips. The next time we visit Como Park I'll be bringing my own food. I can cook a lot better than those kids at Dock and Paddle.

We came here to spend time at the lake. The pavilion was a great little restaurant called Dock and Paddle. They have beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages and a good menu with daily specials. There is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Closer to the lake they offer ice cream treats and snacks. Other attractions include a 1.6 mile walk/bike around the lake and live concerts.
