tripadvisorI'm in the middle of Surf City, but felt like trying another spot not so close. I was also in the mood for some fried seafood! Hula's did not disappoint! Kelly, who was working the bar, came over to my booth and sat across from me while taking my order. I loved the informality and friendliness! It was March Madness, so the bar had about 20 or 25 folks in it and everyone seemed in great spirits. Don't come here if you think you're getting someplace newly renovated and I think that adds to the charm of Hula's. They had my favorite beer, Blue Moon, which isn't a given at many bars, and the Fried Shrimp and Scallop, with a side of onion rings and cole slaw (to give any semblance of healthiness) more than hit the spot. I was thinking that there was actually too much seafood, but who in their right mind would think that?!? Even though I was served quickly and efficiently, I took my time and just enjoyed the vibe of the folks and the establishment. I'll be back tomorrow to try their much-talked-about burger!!! Loved all of Hulu's!
MoreLove that a place like Hulas is walking distance to our vacation home. The variety is like no place around, from line dancing, shagging, country, to the latest dance hits, not to mention karaoke! All this and food when you get hungry, really is the best burger I've had on the island.
MoreWe went on a Saturday night and there was a deejay. We had a great time dancing to the different types of music. There was something there for everyone in our crowd.
