I went to “open mike” night and saw many talented comics and poets. There were some poems that were awkward to sit through because of the content, that’s all I’m going to say. For me, I probably wouldn’t go back.

The Venue on 35th is a small, local theatre that is the home of local talent! Plays, open mic, poetry readings, etc. they host it all. A group of 11 women had the pleasure of attending the play Sisters without voices and it was phenomenal! The location is small so be ready to get close and personal with your neighbor, however a welcoming feeling was delivered, and the performance was top-notch. If you are looking for cultural date night, hanging out with the gang kind of events, don't go to sleep on this one!
