One of the most beautiful family parks in the area. This park is perfect for so many different activities even large gatherings!!

There is nice land use with playground, fishing pier, porta johns, picnic area, kayak launch, water fountains, raised platforms to watch the pleasure craft and yachts await lock entrance. The trails are short but interesting water views and a bridge to an island. Playground looks safe with wood chips on surface. Historic cemetery on the premises but not in great shape.

This is a wonderful complex for the community. Soccer, baseball and football activities are played here. Good parking is always available. There is a walking, riding, running rail that circles the whole complex. I went for their dog park. You supposedly need a pet tag from the city though, but no one checks so just about anyone can use it. There are doggie bags supplied as well as a water-fountain and bowls all inside the dog park so that was nice Restrooms are well lighted and clean.

Children's play area had rubberized surface beneath all of the swings climbing areas and other play areas. The musical instruments were fun for the kids to experiment on. great layout with multiple things to engage the kids. Went with daughters family and the grandson. He had a ball.

This is a small park, but still offers a variety of hiking trails. Be sure and visit the lock. Bring a picnic or at least a water bottle.
