This down to earth restaurant serves up home cooking at its best. The original restaurant on Raymond Avenue opened in 1973 and always has a line waiting for breakfast. And since breakfast is served throughout the day, the place always seems to be packed. The customary breakfast staples can be found here, along with a few surprises, including a Mexican Omelet and Bran Apple Walnut Pancakes. Lunch offers meatloaf and potatoes and roast beef, grilled pork chops, liver with onions and bacon and other comfort foods make patrons feel right at home. Soups, salads, sandwiches and burgers are also served at lunch and dinner. There are a number of locations throughout the Twin Cities. All serve breakfast and lunch, but only a few locations stay open for dinner. Check website for more details.

Cozy kitschy lodge vibe, tasty foods, enormous portions. My partner had their omelet (can anyone honestly consume three eggs plus filling in one sitting?) and I had a side of cheesy hashbrowns...

Went to eat here for the first time with a coworker. I like a very simple breakfast and the place was perfect for what I was looking for. I went around lunch time and was still able to order...
