Came in with 4 families and about 10 kids....going to SPEND $$$. Owner had a meltdown about kids running around and touching things! Kids were being kids... Not breaking anything and not causing problems....Owner and staff were rude and down right nasty.... Very surprised with attitudes. Usually get pictures done every year... WILL NEVER SPEND MONEY IN THERE AGAIN NOR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!

This year was much better than 2 years ago but it wasn't their fault we had a child that didn't want to participate 2 years ago but this year the child participating wanted to and she is 16 now and we had a great time we had a southern family picture done turned out great purchase the frame and 1 extra photo although if you are running low on funds I would not advise going there

Like the main drag of Virginia Beach, this place is a little scruffy. But the staff were friendly, funny, helpful, and very organized. Besides the photographer, they have a receptionist dressed in period costume who encourages tourists to come in and have a look, and a stripper who puts together the various outfits. Antique-looking frames and CD/DVD are available in addition to the vintage photo prints. This is a great place for lots of laughs and fun!

For 10 years our cousins trips have featured this memory maker from beaches all over the east coast. This staff was great with the kids, and we came away with another great experience that our grand kids remember year after year.

We had gone here on our honeymoon in 1982 and they made the most outstanding vintage photos of us as a couple as well as my wife as a solo shot, With our kids grown we decided to return this past July and drove 3 hours out of our way to do so, having been here before we were quite pleased they were still there ( drove there on a hunch ) parked in lot around back and went in, there were a few other groups there that were trying to decide what to do but knowing the routine we went right up said what we wanted and were taken right back, we dressed in period clothes and posed together, being older now ( 60 ) the term old gas bag applies to me and just before Jose' took the shot, I made a noise which got a puzzled but joyful look from my wife just as he snapped the picture ( Jose' said don't worry , it's natural..natural gas that is ...LOL ) And I asked that he take another solo shot of my wife alone, he did and we disrobed and went to have the pictures made, since 1982 they have improved the process and now were able to offer tinting ( period correct for the 1890's ) and the choice of frames were outstanding, when all said and done it was a tad expensive but when you see the final product it is WELL WORTH THE MONEY. And we left with two great shots as we did before and now our friends and family say they look even better than the one's from 1982.
