Unfortunately, today was my third time using the spa at the GF Resort and once again, I did not enjoy my massage. The massage therapist, Emily that I had today was a let down. Most of my massage it felt like she was simply lathering me up with cold lotion. The spa itself is small but nice. I gave this place three chances and will not return here again for spa treatment.

I’ve been to quite a few spas but really enjoyed this experience. I got a facial from Vee and she was amazing. She made it feel special and allowed me to relax throughout the time there. I recommend sticking to the 30 minute early arrival so that you can get accommodated, they have a relaxation room, a steam room, whirlpool, etc. If you can request Vee I would recommend doing so especially if you’re looking for some “me time”.

Brought my 5 year old to get pedicures together for some mommy & me time during our Disney trip. She would have loved to sit in the hot tub for a while, but I was unclear if that was supposed to be offered to us as well, since we were only getting our nails done... Wish there had been a little more communication from staff. We very much enjoyed having tea in the relaxation room together. But then the actual pedicures didn't feel like they were what was represented online. My little ones was supposed to include a foot soak and massage...and somehow it took all of about 10 mins for her to be done (which included nail art designs on two of her toes). For $50, it shouldn't have been rushed through like that. Additionally, by the time she was all done, they hadn't even gotten to actually painting my nails yet so she had to just sit and wait for me...I feel like for the price you are charging for kids....it should be a full experience.

Was so excited to take my daughters for a spa day here while staying at the resort but was instantly disappointed by the lack of amenities and just plain old good customer service. We were greeted and right away the sales tactics begin...the employees are super scripted and it really feels unnatural so we are greeted and asked to choose a stone? I guess you get a sensory experience related to that color of rock so I asked about the fragrance because I prefer citrus not vanilla or lavender related oils but was told that I must choose a rock not a scent. Why? because they don't know how to go off script. Then I was ushered into the locker room where we basically were told to change and enjoy the hot tub or sauna while waiting for the massage we scheduled. The 'relaxation' room was just a bunch of chairs with some water and almonds. There were no other activities-no deluge, no plunge pool, no other amenities--for the cost of this experience there should be more than a jacuzzi and steam room. No juice or mimosa, no granola, no body butter, no nothing and while you 'relax' they shuttle other patrons in and out constantly...so much for that! The only other attendant we encountered was talking on a headset in the room we were relaxing in the whole time. The massage was great, can't really mess that up but afterwards we again were ushered back to the little room and shown the two showers and tiny little area where we could clean up. I am really surprised by how little space there was and how many patrons were coming in and out. Perhaps an expansion is in the works as this is the only spa open on the Disneyworld properties. After we showered and got dressed there were no spots available in the relax room so we were leaving whether we wanted to or not as there was no room for us. We again were greeted at the cash register where we again were treated like a number, not once spoken to other than for payment. Definitely not the experience I expected from Disney, especially for the hefty price tag.

My husband surprised me with a massage for Xmas. I was very excited to get a little pampering during the holidays. Considering how large the Grand Floridian is, I was actually surprised by the size of the spa. It was certainly smaller than any Burke Williams I have been to. The check in was very nice and welcoming. They give you a tour and you are ready to use the facilities. The dressing area was pretty small so if you want privacy you might need to use the restroom area. I used the steam room, which is also quite small. Had to wait a while so it was not too crowded. They do have a nice jacuzzi and hot lounge chairs just outside the steam room. The other area is the quiet area where you wait for your appointment and grab some snacks. They had tea, water, granola and a couple other things. Massage was great and as I was getting ready, the 2 spots with hair dryers were busy. I ended up leaving without drying my hair. The service was excellent, they had all the amenities available with very comfy robes and sandals, but it was just a little small for my comfort. Although I will never complain about some relaxation, I was a bit underwhelmed. Price was reasonable and they give you a little bag of bath salts as you leave.
