If you like to be close to the action, you won't find a performance space more intimate! But that doesn't mean you won't find some top quality shows and performances at Blank Canvas. What you will find are some of the more off-beat and unusual plays presented in solid fashion. If you're looking for something different than Broadway touring companies, this is it! Many of the performers have solid credentials from other Cleveland theatres, so don't assume you won't experience top-flight performances. We just attended the the musical parody of Die Hard, Yippee Ki-Yay Merry Christmas and this no-holds-barred parody was the perfect antidote to the 24/7 Hallmark Movie Channel. Check them out if you're in town and looking for something different to do.

We have been to the theater twice to see our multi talented niece perform in two of the funniest musicals we have ever seen. Last night's Yippee Ki Yay Merry Christmas had us laughing nearly non-stop. The venue is small and allows you to feel a part of the show. Besides the show, there is an extensive gallery of artworks from local artists.

My wife and I have attended this theater for several years. Recently, we attended the performance of We Will Rock You based on the music of Queen. If you did not see it, you missed one of the best performances I have ever seen. The theater is in the round and seats only about 100 people. However, the talent is exceptional. All the actors are experienced community performers. In this case, every lead actor had an incredible voice especially Danny Simpson, who performed just as well as Freddie Mercury. The final song was Bohemian Rhapsody and I have never heard a live performance done so well. Freddie would be proud of this group. I have to give a big shout out to the lead guitarist, who we could see from where we sat. He did a phenomenal job.

The new seating is super comfy and the theatre only holds 100 of them so it is intimate. the actors were great and the show was good too, saw Cabaret. Great experience. The theater is in a building with several galleries of which some were open but if you go on the 3rd Fridays of the month they have a open house event as well.

Wow! This parody of Silence of the Lambs was over the top funny, quirky and adult. Neither of us have seen the movie so may have missed some of the humor, but we thoroughly enjoyed the show and the theater. It is small and every seat would be a great seat I think. Buckets of Great Lakes beers and others are available and you can purchase an affordable bottle of wine to take to your seat along with popcorn. Just plain fun and a great theater experience. Check out the almost eerie gift shop Pugsley's Room. It is eye opening. Thursday night was sold out as was Saturday. Booking a reservation on their website is very easy and enjoy the show. There is an excellent restaurant that matches the unique aspect of this theater.
