Not only is this a large Lutheran Congregation but it is a venue for the SD Symphony and others to perform. The acoustics are great for classical concerts. I recently enjoyed Handel's Messiah performed by the SD symphony and choir.

Beautiful church with wonderful staff. There is the main church with is beautiful, and the smaller chapel which is much smaller, but also very pretty.

This church is breathtaking on the inside and the outside. It has that grand feel but with a home town church family.

Nice chance for families to receive a gift of rememberance for their loved one(s) for the past year with plenty of space for family and friends and nice, big area to congregate and talk after the service was over.

I'm not Lutheran. First Lutheran Church has continuously provided a forum for the annual Gottesdienst Christmas service in German. The church, community hall, lobby, and bathrooms are impeccable. They also host Handel's Messiah. the acoustics are wonderful! I am genuinely touched by the graciousness and hospitality I feel whenever I am at First Lutheran Church.
