It was a fun nostalgic walk through. The train set up was the best! For .25 we got to see a strangers 2 year old light up with joy.

This is a nice small town museum. The curator is knowledgeable and glad to answer questions. Don’t miss the train, the dinosaur, and the player piano. No entrance fee, but donations are welcome. Be certain to sign the guest book.

My ancestors are from this area, so I grew up visiting the museum and then brought my own daughter as she was growing up. It is an amazing little gem and never fails to disappoint. It’s always interesting, and I always learn something new. Be sure and pay the quarter to watch the train and drop a few dollars in the box before you leave.

This carefully curated collection reflects the community surrounding the museum. The curator, Wes, is interesting, kind and willing to share all the information you could need.

A billboard along the freeway and a Hey Lets Go brought us to a completely unexpected Gem of a Stop. I highly recommend a visit especially if you have kids in the car that need to walk free for a bit. The volunteer staff here is wonderful and super friendly. The exhibits vary from the dino to ETs scooping up a cow in the train display ( a well spent quarter ). Bring a camera or video to get the variety of displays on record. At the end of it all, I couldnt help but put some cash into their donations jar, as it was well worth the wide range of things to gaze upon. NOTE: someone will insist you sign the guest book so be prepared for that. But no one will push the donation jar!
