tripadvisorAmazing gym, great people and awesome coaches! They go above and beyond for their members! You’ll love it here
MoreI have been going to DNR for a year now and the coaches really care about your form and preventing injury. I also love that the workouts are constantly changing and I don't get bored.
MoreThe guys at crossfit are extremely helpful. They will work with all fitness levels and any special needs one may have. The gym has classes throughout the entire day, which works well with people on flex schedules.
MoreHave been a member of CrossfitDNR for a little over a year now. I first joined in order to train for a Tough Mudder last fall – a foolish commitment as I am 40 years older than the nephews that I agreed to run the TM with. The year has been an adventure. The owners and their staff are very careful to scale work-outs to my ability level and to continuously correct my bad form. They are always generous with their time, concern and coaching. Like all CF boxes (gyms) the class programming follows a prescribed “workout of the day” of warm-ups, stretches, slow speed strength olympic lifting and an ever-changing high intensity challenge of timed exercises. Coaches “scale” and substitute exercises to match individual's needs. Crossfit is a different culture – no mirrors, no chrome, no “preening & strutting.” The walls are plywood, the members aren't looking at themselves. We all know each others' names and we encourage each other. When I fall behind, the “kids” (anyone under 40) often join me for my last push ups, burpies or sit-ups. This kind of encouragement is an incredible experience and it happens almost every day. The owners, Kyle, Kody and Vanessa, work very hard to foster camaraderie and friendliness... and it works. When I started, I was in my sixties, grossly overweight, and badly out of shape. After five months I successfully ran the 2014 Colorado Tough Mudder. I'm still in my sixties, moderately overweight (but lots thinner) and in far far better shape than all of my beer bellied buddies. My strength and endurance grow every month, as my belly slowly shrinks. And I am having fun! Constructive Criticisms: Can't think of any! Finding CrossfitDNR the first time is a challenge. Like many crossfit boxes, it's “around the back” and well worth the extra effort to find.
