tripadvisorNice and clean hotel. Limited staff so check in took a few minutes longer than expected. It is close to the highway so a little bit of road noise. The road noise was not too bad in the evening but started a bit early in the morning but I was awake anyway so it didn't bother me too much. I tried the coffee and it was terrible and bitter. :(It is very close to a McDonalds so just went there for an easy breakfast. The location was really good for plans of going to Yellowstone park, only about an hour away.
MoreDisappointing Stay – Poor Maintenance and ServiceOur stay at Super 8 by Wyndham Livingston Yellowstone was very disappointing. At approximately $125 per night, the value for money was simply not there. The room had multiple cleanliness and maintenance problems: badly worn linens, dust, cups and bottle caps under the beds, a dirty refrigerator, a broken chair, a bathroom door that did not lock, old faded towels, and an empty body-wash dispenser that had fallen off the wall. The most concerning issue was the hair dryer. When my daughter tried to use it, the room immediately filled with a strong burnt-electrical smell, which felt like a genuine safety issue.Breakfast was extremely limited, and both coffee and waffles ran out without anyone available to refill them. On our final morning, the employee responsible for breakfast and apparently the front desk had not arrived on time. As a result, we had to wait approximately 45 minutes for someone to arrive so we could check out.We were not expecting luxury, but we did expect a clean, safe, functional room and basic service. Unfortunately, the overall condition and service did not come close to justifying the price.I would not stay here again.
MoreThe check in person was very nice. He had me contact the manager on my phone and I had difficulty understanding her. The room had two double beds and was nice. Breakfast wasn't much, no eggs or sausages or bacon, but the waffles were good. They also had cereal and juice. Their coffee on the other hand was awful.
MoreIt all started when we arrived at the hotel. I had problems with the key card not working and had to go to the front desk 4 times to get that resolved. The air conditioner did not work well. The outlet on the lamp on one side of the bed did not work. Someone's car alarm went off for 10 minutes. When I went down to the front desk to tell the to go to the individual's room to have them shut it off the clerk looked at me because I was bothering whatever he was doing on his phone. When he went out to get the plate of the vehicle, the alarm went off and he came back to me and said, Look. No problem. While I was told that the breakfast wasn't until 7am the door sign still showed 6am. The bed was lumpy. I had to get my own fresh towels, which they counted the dirty towels I returned before giving me fresh ones. After a certain point in the evening a roll gate was pulled down and nobody was available. When I called to express my concerns, the manager made excuses for everything. The clerk probably didn't understand what you wanted. All we have for breakfast is cereal and waffles, which meets the Super 8 breakfast standards. There had never been a car alarm go off before, so they didn't know what to do. There was a sign that said they were short staffed. We can't offer any type of refund for your inconvenience. So on and so on. Not only was the room extremely overpriced for what I got, but I didn't receive an apology for the issues, only excuses for what had happened. If you don't need to sleep and you're willing to overpay for luggage storage, this place is for you.
MoreDO NOT STAY HERE — MY WIFE WAS INJURED BY A NEEDLE STICKING OUT OF THE HOTEL MATTRESS.We stayed at this hotel for one night. The following morning, as my wife was getting out of bed, she cut herself on something sharp. We discovered that there was an actual needle inside the mattress, with the needle sticking out of it.We immediately went to a clinic to get tested for HIV, hepatitis, and other infections. Thankfully, all of the tests were negative. We then spent countless hours trying to get Coral Wave Hotels to reimburse us for the medical expenses and the cost of the night’s stay. After finally getting a response, they simply denied the request. We had to pay $190 for the hotel room and approximately $700 in medical expenses because of what we consider an unacceptable failure in basic hotel safety and negligence. Despite the seriousness of what happened, nobody at Coral Wave took responsibility. How can a hotel possibly consider this acceptable? A needle sticking out of a mattress should be an obvious and serious enough safety failure to warrant taking responsibility.I strongly recommend staying away from this hotel, Super 8, Coral Wave Hotels, and Wyndham altogether.
