tripadvisorPeople love going here and there are a lot of cute little artsy shops/stores in here. It's mostly that it is really just not my cup of tea. They usually have a couple rooms dedicated to art displays. The ones I have seen have not been my favorite (on field trips w/ my boys), but I am sure for people who really like art this is a good place to visit.
MoreIf you have a chance to attend the opera, symphony or ballet here you will be absolutely amazed by the intimacy of this venue. It is lovely to behold and even more lovely to partake of the performances here.
MoreAn awesome community art center for the local residents. Several artists utilize this building as a creative, from photographers, painters, dance, theater, youth/adult classes, etc. Additionally they have a wonderful & creative restaurant, the Emerson Grill.
MoreThere were displays, shops, workshops in what used to be school classrooms. Photography, painting, artist's studio, jewelry, handcrafts, jewelry/scarves/cards/more in small store. wood room using all reclaimed wood/driftwood to design pictures, writing room, ballroom, small restaurant, other businesses as tenants in the 2 story building, and much more. I gave this a 4 rating because many of the shops and most of the crafters were not open on Monday, the day I visited.
MoreWe spent a lovely couple of hours touring the galleries and exhibtions at the Emerson Center. The art was varied and interesting, and artists were warm and approachable.
