After we went to the Kerr Dam, we drove to the Kicking Horse Reservoir. I didn't know that it was built in 1930. The height is of 29 feet and 5220 feet long at its crest. We see a lot of birds at the Kicking Horse Reservoir. We enjoyed nature. It was attractive! A must see!

A largemouth bass fishery with some bluegill and perch thrown in. Not many of the latter. No motors or boat trailers allowed.Shallow and can get windy.

Kicking Horse Res Is almost completely undeveloped in the camping, picnicking and day tripping dept; There is a concrete outhouse with no running water and run down picnic table but lack of such things also adds to its beauty & million dollar views of the Missions as they reflect off the water, plenty of bird watching all summer long; there is a concrete boat launch although no boat motors above 15 h.p. are allowed the bass fishing is second to none at the right times and water temps fishing from the earth dike/rip rap is fruitful and if you are lucky you can hook into one of the large rainbow trout hidden in the deep, handicap access is awful except on the boat ramp, cattle are no longer allowed on this range unit a big bonus!
