We were given a private look at the opera house. The individual explained a lot of its history and current use. Would love to return to see a presentation.

What a great time in Philipsburg! This theater serves up three plays each week for a ten week summer season. One of the shows is old time vaudeville which is a hoot for any age. You sit in this historic old theater, where shows have taken place for over a century, and enjoy professional acting in an intimate setting. It's a true highlight of any trip to this historic town. They even do on-stage commercials for the local businesses that are hilarious. Oh, and the buttered popcorn is superb. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My wife and I visited the Opera House as part of an overnight trip to Philipsburg. We took in the Friday evening vaudeville show. It was an entertaining spectacle, with skits, music and general fun. The relatively small size of the auditorium meant that the performers were right next to the audience, and there were several audience participation bits as well. It was a great evening's entertainment, and the theater concessions offer a special option -- their popcorn is amazing! It is cooked and settled out to remove almost all of the old maids and topped with real butter! A great way to spend an evening.

On Saturday night we made a spur of the moment decision to see the Opera House Players last but one performance of their summer season, which was the Vaudeville show. We thoroughly enjoyed the show as did the rest of the audience - it was a really entertaining evening. If you happen to be in Philipsburg do check out performances at the Opera House.

I have attended nearly every production done by the Opera House Theatre since its return to live theater in 2000. The 2017 rep is by far one of the best I've been to since the beginning. Vaudeville is always a favorite and the other two productions are top notch entertainment as well. This is great value for 2 hours of excellent theater, and a must do while in Philipsburg!
