tripadvisorTickets were sold out until 3:00. No one told us the procedure but the lines were backed up. Everyone had gotten in lines and when 3:00 came, we were not called. We finally got on at 3:45. The view definitely was not as advertised. Trees and houses in the neighborhood. Employees stated that the owner could care less what people thought and that it was all about the money. At $25 a ticket, he is making a lot of money. I was told that there was a little village at the top. What a joke! Everything was extremely over priced and poorly made. Don't waste your time or money on this. Learned my lesson..
MoreWhat a ride, on the way up I was sliding off my seat had to hold onto the seat I front of mew. Its steep well worth it. View at the top is amazing. You can walk to the historic battlefield which is a national park, wish they would have told us it was 10 dollars a person. I have disabled American pass inbound have brought for national parks. Fromt the gate you can see most of the park and a cannon or two. People do have some amazing homes up there. A bucket list ride. When you get to the top it stops on an angle and a bit of struggle for older and disabled people but everyone is patient.
MoreWe were told tickets were sold out until 3 so we bought that at$25/person. Waited 45 minutes to ride. The track goes between residents. There's nothing to see except houses and such. Waited another 45 minutes to go back up. I was told the owner doesn't care about over selling tickets or inconvenience. Wouldn't recommend it. Not worth it.
MoreSave your money and time. We were under the mistaken impression there were additional attractions waiting for us at the top - parish the thought. The ride is unique, safe and comfortable. Once at the top you are restricted to the upper platform, mechanical room, observation desk and cheap concession store - that's it. They even offer a one-way ticket but what on earth for? It's not like you're going to walk back down because you can't exit the platform. You get to the top, look around and go back down. The one bright spot is the very inexpensive parking at the located at the base of the lift. Otherwise parking is a nightmare and tourists are like walking ATM machines for the city.
MoreWe're currently sitting in line at 12:30 for an 11:30 ticket we purchased. Apparently these fine folks don't monitor ticket sales. Do yourself a huge favor and don't bother with online tickets. It doesn't guarantee anything. Additionally, don't pay for parking in the parking lot. The machine doesn't work. Use the QR code at the ticket booth and fill everything out online while you're waiting the 4 hours to actually use your ticket. Need to take a look at customer convenience instead of simply bottom line.
