360 Chicago is what used to be John Hancock Observatory, atop the 94th floor of the skyscraper, John Hancock Center. A huge landmark in Chicago, the observation deck offers a glorious 360-degree panorama of the Windy City. 360 Chicago is also home to the city's only SkyWalk, and the amazing Tilt offers a unique view of the Magnificent Mile, titled at an angle of 30 degrees. There's an on-site cafe where you can retire for some snacks after the exhilarating experience, 1,000 feet (304.8 meters) up in the air. Open all week, from 9a onward, 360 Chicago makes for an unforgettable visit.

tripadvisorGetting to the 360 Chicago Observation Deck was absolutly straightforward, and we had no trouble finding our way in. We spent a very wonderful couple of hours soaking in the breathtaking views of the city from the top, which were honestly some of the best we have seen anywhere. The bar area was a lovely touch, offering a decent selection of drinks while you take in the scenery, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The whole experience feels well organized and the crowds were manageable during our visit. We opted not to do the Tilt experience as the extra cost felt a bit steep for what it offers, but the standard admission alone was more than worth it. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Chicago for the first time or even locals who have never made the trip up.
MoreThe lakeshore view from 360 deck was fantastic. The admission was a bit expensive for me, but it was overall satisfying. I did not do the leaning glass thing since I did not have enough time. Go right before sunset. Plan for lining up if you have add-ones.
MoreRecently did the 360 Chicago experience and had a mostly great, but slightly mixed, visit. We went on a late Sunday night after reserving tickets online for $35 each. Heads up that pricing is dynamic. I noticed standard tickets were listed at $29 at one point, and prices increase as time slots fill, which already feels steep tor a single visit. When we arrived, we learned that admission was free for locals that week, which made the space especially crowded. Thankfully, the entry lines were manageable and the elevator ride to the 94th floor was impressively fast. Be prepared for some ear pressure on the way up.Once at the top, the views were undeniably beautiful. You can circle the entire floor and take in all four directions of the city, spotting landmarks like Navy Pier and Willis Tower, though visibility depends on weather and time of night. The main challenge was the crowd. While there are plenty of areas to take photos, the heavy volume of visitors meant lots of fingerprints and smudges on the glass, which made it difficult to capture clean shots. I also felt there could have been more staff oversight to maintain a comfortable environment, especially given how many employees were present.Overall, it is an iconic Chicago experience worth doing once for the views, but given the price and crowds, it is not something I would personally repeat.
MoreThis experience cost me over $100.00 that I didn't have. I was in Chicago on business, my daughter and granddaughter came to visit. We decided to go to Willis tower at the last minute. We heard tickets were cheaper through trip advisor so typed in Willis tower and purchased the tickets for $105.00 for 3 tickets. They were purchased when we were inside of the building. When we purchased them at 6pm for a 6:30 time slot. When we checked in we were told that they were not for Willis tower but for something called 360 (I still don't know what that even is) I went right back on line to cancel them but was told they had to be cancelled 24 hours in advance, which was impossible since they were only purchased 30 min prior. So I paid another $130 to go toThe real Willis tower...a very expensive evening. I contacted my bank but was told I would need to get a refund from Trip Advisor, but I have no clue how to do that. The funny thing is, 2 people who work there told us that the same thing happens often, one said almost daily...so trip advisor is making money off people like me...my advice is to purchase them from the box office in the building...shame on trip advisor for ripping innocent folks off!
MoreIf you visit Chicago, you should not miss the 360 Chicago Observation Deck! The views from the 94th Floor are amazing. Prices vary per day - check their website to determine the cheapest time.
