The Rockford Dance Company (RDC) is committed to excellence in their mission to promote the art of dance through quality performance, education, and outreach programming. RDC's focus is ballet with a well defined curriculum for all age levels and expertise. Over 45 classes are offered in a variety of dance genres including ballet, tap, jazz, modern, partnering, pointe and variations (solo work), and adult wellness classes. The company performs in four productions per season, two of which occur at the Coronado theater in downtown Rockford. The annual production of the "Nutcracker" is in collaboration with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra. RDC's outreach has grown to include programs such as Terrific Tuesdays, Fantastic Fridays, Camp Collage, Girl Scouts on the Move, Ballet Birthday Parties, work with the homeless, and dance classes for children with special needs. Additionally, the company members, visit schools, retirement homes and festivals to introduce the art of dance to others
