tripadvisorVery interesting place to visit and look around. Many and I do mean many nice paintings and jewelry to look at and choose from. We stop in to buy some concert ticket's and we where happy that we did.
MoreThis gallery and art center is located in a restored historic bank building on Main Street. Great assortment of various art including pottery and jewelry. Nice stop in downtown near several restaurants.
MoreIf you love art in any medium you will love this and the best time to go is during Austin's Artwork Festival. It's a 2 day event, some of the artist are set up on the streets of Austin others are inside the Historial Waste Water Treatment Plant. The building itself is lovely.
MoreThe historic First National Bank of Austin (locally known as The Bank), this space was re-purposed into a full-service arts center a few years ago, and what a treat it is for both locals and visitors! Local residents take advantage of a variety of classes and performances (like Friday night open jam sessions!) and visitors - even if only in town for an afternoon to see the Spam Museum - will enjoy viewing the fantastic visual art galleries (free to view!) or purchasing a variety of arts, crafts, novelties, and gifts made by artists near and far (most of whom have an Austin connection in one way or another). This is truly an under-appreciated gem right on Main Street in downtown Austin (and only a block from the Spam Museum!) . Kids and adults alike will love stopping by.
MoreA must stop and browse awhile when you're on Main Street in Austin. The inventory is fresh and the varied displays present the art well. Large variety of original art, prints, jewelry, wooden boxes art glass and pottery just for starters. There are gifts and items of all price ranges. One of the best in Southern Minnesota/Northern Iowa. There is a clay cavern for do it yourself potters. Arts classes are given on the second floor where there is also a professional gallery and an emerging artists room.
