The Court Security Division, governed by the Peoria County Sheriff's Office, is responsible for the security of courthouse. It has screening systems, metal detectors and X-ray machines for security applications. The division also provides monitoring services in business and nonbusiness hours. The Peoria County Sheriff's Office s crime scene unit offers a range of fingerprinting, photography, arson investigation and blood spatter services. The office additionally provides the Violence, Education, & Gang Awareness program.
