Smell like an animal shelter, piss in the elevator , each floor smelled worse an worse. Extended stay with animals. need a good cleaning service.

I booked with booking.com. I showed up to the hotel about 30 minutes later. They couldn’t find my booking. I reached out to booking.com to find out what was going on but they weren’t able to help. An hour after showing up the front desk clerk offered to let me check in by doing a walk-in rate. So now I’ve paid twice plus a $100 deposit. I get my son and dogs to the room around 9:30pm and find out the toilet doesn’t work. I tell the front desk clerk who says he’ll call maintenance, then walk out the front door. We get food and come back. Toilet still doesn’t work. The next morning around 7am I take my dogs out and ask about the maintenance guy. Apparently he came by while we were out but never went in. Flash forward to 10am, there’s still no maintenance man. I ask about a late check out so we can do the activity we were supposed to do the night before but couldn’t due to the check-in issues. Mike argued with me about charging for the late check out. Finally I said Motel 6 could either give me free late check out or reimburse me for the $60 tickets. He chose to do a free late check out. It’s now 10:40am and no maintenance man has shown up. We get back around 12:30 to check out. Four days later I called to ask about my deposit refund. The woman that answered the phone said it should have been done at check out, but that she was initiating it now. So Mike didn’t initiate my deposit refund at check out, the woman did 4 days later. I called the next day to receive a full refund for my stay and was told by Mike to not call them again and he hung up on me.

Picked this location for it's distance from St Louis & low price. Room was clean, now detail should have been given to re-done areas like caulking in the bathroom- sloppy. The reason for the negative 10 rating (if there was such a rating) is because of management. Specifically KP, who claimed to be the General Manager of this specific location. Mike, the very nice employee who checked us in at midnight the night before, was VERY nice. Extended our check out to 11:30 am so that we could sleep in before continuing the remaining 7 hours of our trip. Was awaken at 8:30 to construction in what sounded like our own room! Thought it was a temporary thing, then the electric equipment started up (saws, etc?) and was even louder. I heard a worker walking down the hallway talking to another worker saying 'I'm surprised they told us to start this early and THAT'S what made me open the door. Equipment and construction material lined the hall in front of the room two doors down. Went to the office and spoke to KP, apparently the GM. I kindly asked why we weren't informed that construction would be taking place on our floor, 2 rooms away, first things in the morning. He first tried to argue that the workers didn't start until after 9am. I told him I would go & get one of the workers and bring him back down with me. He says that wasn't necessary. I then very kindly asked for a refund for our room, as we had only been in it about 8 hours and was definitely not going to be able to sleep another 3 or 4. KP said he didn't owe me any explanation and didn't have to tell me that construction was going to happen and was just really nasty about it. I asked for my deposit back and told him we were leaving now. At first he refused again but I pointed out our deposit hanging in an envelope on the wall, and he handed it to me. When I got back to the room, I wanted over to the room where the construction was going on and spoke to a very nice maintenance man named Eric. He confirmed for me that they actually started the work at 9am after having hauled it all up to the second floor. He was very nice, apologize for waking us up, and told us that he was not giving a heads up that there was anyone in any of the rooms around him. We will NEVER stay at any Motel 6, ever. If this hell they think their customers and can be bothered you can give anyone a heads up that can actually go once that we have chosen a different room then they probably are all that way.

I have been coming to this Motel 6 since September 2025 my family and I have stayed here for weeks at a time and we really like it. The front desk workers are so nice and accommodating. I can bring my cat with zero issues and my kiddo. The beds are comfy and it is nice to get away from the chaos where I live. It is quiet here and everyone is respectful. The area is optimal with restaurants and fast food close plus it’s really close to the highway so I can still get to work on time. I always reserve a room ahead of time for a day, a few days, or a few weeks, the price is worth the safety I get.
