Reviews
tripadvisorWe just finished up a week long Army reunion for the 5th Infantry Regiment. The service we received was the best we have ever received in the 15 years we have been organizing our reunions from cities all around the county. While the hotel rooms were a bit dated, they were clean neat and functional. The service to our meeting space was far beyond what we have ever experienced. Carlos, Steve, Richard and a young lady (can't remember her name) were just unbelievable in the care and attention that they provided us for our week long stay. The room rate, the provided meeting space was a value that could not be beat. The daily happy hour in the bar was a huge hit with our group. The food in the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, most of our group stayed within the hotel for their evening meals. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was very convenient and tasty. The omelet station was exceptional!. As planners for our group I have to say we could not be happier in our hotel selection in Lubbock, Texas. It was a real pleasure as well as a value. Well done MCM!
MoreI was so pleasantly surprised by how thoughtful this hotel is with its amenities!! In the room there were thoughtful extras like cotton balls and a tips, makeup remover, and flavored and regular coffees! In the workout facility there were the right number of well working cardiovascular machines as well as free weights and weight machines, and wrapped cups and water dispenser with both disposable and cloth towels! Then the happy hour with complimentary appetizers and drinks was very good! And breakfast had every choice imaginable plus an omelette station to get your omelette made to order! The 10 commandments out front didn’t hurt either!!! Very well done!! So glad we stayed there! Lubbock location
MoreWe booked a king suite through booking.com. When we checked in and went to our room we saw that the hotel is old and run down. The living area was cool but the bedroom was hot. The drapes in the bedroom didn’t close all the way, Then there was a barking dog next door. And we had been warned about the baseball teams ruckus - throwing baseballs in the atrium, bouncing them off doors. So we returned the keys to the front desk and told the dark haired woman what was wrong and that we weren’t staying. We handed her the keys, drink & breakfast tickets and left. Evidently she did nothing to check us out, and we were charged for the room. We filed a dispute with our credit card but the hotel denied everything. We will NEVER stay at an MCM ELEGANTE again & we will never use Booking.com again!
MoreThis hotel is easy to get to located well to other Lubbock amenities. The lobby area and friendly staff are very welcoming. The rooms are well maintained and equipped. The beds were very comfortable which my wife especially appreciated. We were there during the FIFA tournaments and would have enjoyed a larger screen tv. We did experience a few delays on the internet that might have given problems to visitors trying to conduct business, but really didn’t affect us that much. Everything was very clean. We appreciate not needing to leave for meals. The restaurant was closed but the restaurant menu was being served in the bar. It was a good menu and the bar tender was excellent both nights we ate there. He gave excellent service to all the customers. The food came quickly, was very good, excellent portion, and reasonably priced. The room was reasonably priced. Breakfasts have a much better variety and quality than you would expect at a much higher priced hotel. The hotel is showing its age. The first night we found that none of the ice machines were working. When I asked the front desk they told me if I wanted ice I needed to get it from the bar. The bar tender was gracious about this. Our second night was three weeks later on our return trip and all the ice machines were still broken. The bathtubs was rusty around the drain and many of the floor indicator lights and floor button lights were out on the elevators. Our second night, our room had a nice multi power/usb device but one side didn’t work. We will probably stay here again because even though we carry c-paps and several electronic devices I always carry two power strips. Even though the place is older it is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. You don’t need to leave to get good meals.
MoreWe stayed at MCM Eleganté Hotel & Suites Lubbock during a concert weekend and had one of the most frustrating hotel check-in experiences we’ve ever had.We got in line at 2:45 PM to be ready for the 4:00 PM check-in, only to be sent to the back of the line after 45 minutes because our room type wasn’t available. After waiting again, we reached the desk around 5:10 PM and were told our room still wasn’t ready. With no other options provided, we were forced to change in public restrooms and finish getting ready in our car just to make it to the concert we had driven 12 hours to attend. Our room wasn’t ready until 5:52 PM (the concert had already started). They then had the audacity to go knocking on doors at 9am the next morning asking people when they were going to be out of their rooms. (Check out time is 12)This wasn’t just a delay—it was a breakdown in the check-in process. No organization, no urgency, no care for their guests, and no accommodations offered to guests who were clearly affected. It significantly impacted our experience. After attempting to contact them after this experience and allowing them the opportunity to make things right, their response was that they were one of the only hotels in the area to waive a two night minimum for the event. Which isn’t even true because when I booked this hotel 5 months ago, there were tons of available hotels for a single night stay.
