The house manager and staff at the NYU graduation on May 14, 2025 were horrible to the graduates. Not 10 minutes after the ceremony had ended rude and obnoxious staffers with a megaphone, yes megaphones, were disrupting photos of families with graduates on their big day. The house manager then tried to lie and tell us that it was a safety issue . The program was from 3-5 pm and she just wanted to clear the building at 4:45. I would never recommend the New York City Center to anyone. I can only imagine how rude they would be to guests at a broadway show. Get a new house manager and throw out the megaphone. Way to ruin the big day for graduates and send people out into the rain for pictures.

We came here to see Encore! Titanic and had a really enjoyable time at this theatre. It's a bit smaller than many of the Broadway theatres, so even though we sat in the middle of the mezzanine, we still had fantastic seats. However, because this is a smaller venue, they allow fewer people in the lobby - security made people wait outside for space to clear. The interior of the building is gorgeous and is a wonderful setting for a show. The seats are comfortable and it's not too cramped. Prices for concessions are on par with other venues. It's located in Midtown, so a few blocks north of the main Broadway area, but still very close to numerous restaurants and subway stations.

NYC is magical, especially at night (when the weather is cooler and you can’t see the filth as much lol). You can get whatever you want anytime you want here. I used to live here and I love coming back and spending time in Midtown, Chelsea and Flat Iron. I like to take in a show or two, this time it was The Music Man with Hugh Jackman (he was amazing!) and Pam Anderson did really well in Chicago. I will probably eventually move back, but I needed a break after COVID. Stayed in Hells Kitchen, which is super central but quiet enough to actually rest between activities. There is no other place like New York.

I was very surprised to see the amount of garbage on the streets and sidewalks of this magnificent city. It really does take the shine of the experience you would expect. Almost everywhere you walked there was garbage. Perhaps employing those without jobs to pick up the litter would make the city a better place.

Love this very original style building which houses a number of mini venues. As seen from the photos it has a wide selection of shows.
