We are currently offering homebirth midwifery services for clients in the Des Moines & Ankeny area, will travel up to 90 min away. Care includes prenatal visits in our office, homebirth, waterbirth, newborn and postpartum care. Homebirth is a great option for women who want a natural birth and are experiencing a healthy pregnancy! Community midwives are experts in normal, with specialized training for prenatal care, labor, birth and emergency skills in out of hospital settings. A Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)® is a knowledgeable, skilled and professional independent midwifery practitioner who has met the standards for certification set by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) and is qualified to provide the Midwives Model of Care. The CPM is the only midwifery credential that requires knowledge about and experience in out-of-hospital settings.
