tripadvisorI saw three flamenco shows during my trip to New Mexico. I commemd my experience at Casa Flamenca's performance. This one had the dancer performing to a powerfully passionate singer who made me feel like I was in an opera (I don't understand Spanish any better than I understand Italian). This was a wonderful surprise. Also the setting places you close enough--way close--that you can see the chemistry between the musicians and singer and the dancer. They were all very skilled. Despite small space it was lively and fun. Highly recommend.
MoreDuring a recent visit to the Albuquerque Balloon Festival, my friends and I had the pleasure of seeing the show at Casa Flamenco. It was a wonderful experience set in an intimate venue. The music and dancing was excellent and was enhanced by theproximity of the dancers. I would go again.
MoreBorderless Arts TN visited Casa Flamenca first for a dance workshop and then for the evening performance. You MUST go see this show if you are in the area. It resonates through your entire body. The energy and skill of these performers is incredible. Go, Go, and Go!!!!! Our entire group agreed that this is one of the best performances any of us have ever seen.
MoreEnchanting evening! The dance, the vocals and the flamenco guitar were incredible. The performers in each category held nothing back- they gave it 110%.An intimate setting with great acoustics. We had relatives with us from Italy, they’d never been to the US, never been to a flamenco tablao. They were “ blown away” by the passion & artistry. A “MUST DO” if in Albuqerque. We’ll be back! Thank you to:Carmen MontesJuani de la islaKina Mendez For their incredible performance!Don McGuire & family
MoreThis authentic music and dance show is not to be missed. Held in the small Casa Flamenca near Old town this small venue allows you to enjoy the vibrancy of the Flamenco dance form. Last night there were three performers: an amazing guitarist, a female singer from Spain and Carmen Montes who also directs the school as well as dances. We never miss a show when we are in Albuquerque.
