tripadvisorThis was our first visit to the Uptown. It is a very special place for a concert venue. We were there for the Leonid and. Friends Concert and it was packed. My wife was totally surprised on how easy it was to leave after the concert. She struggles in tight places and she was completely calm. When you sit on the main floor you are seated in nice folding chairs. They were not the most comfortable but they worked just fine.
MoreThe parking was horrible! Let’s step inside the theater that was hot as hell. They cram you in these seats that are less than desirable in anyone’s book. Had to listed to Gary Alan from foyer in order to stand the temperature.
MoreVery cool old school theater. I love these old venues. The staff was so helpful and got everyone through the long concert lines pretty fast. Only one complaint, they had to have overbooked the concert. Every seat was filled, the ga standing area was packed, both sides and middle were standing too. Then they kept telling people to get out of the aisles and find a seat, there was no place for them to go. I felt bad for two wheelchair bound people that couldn't see anything. I'm 5'4, the standing area was so deep it hit the seats of row one, those people couldn't see, so we all stood the whole time. I was ok with this but couldn't see the concert hardly at all, just through cracks of people once in a while. The concert was still amazing though.
MoreWent to Theory of a deadman...luv the Uptowne...wish one could rent the private box seats...anyone ever rent the private boxes up and off the right and left,
MoreI went to a Home Free concert here on Dec 1, 2022. This is a great old Art Deco style theater. Beautiful decor and superb acoustics. They just don't make them like this anymore.
