We loved looking at the beautiful homes along ward parkway and walking in the big park nearby. So pretty in the fall and we love to just walk around the area and people were friendly. We loved the quaint little shops and the shopping areas nearby.

We never miss stopping by Brookside for lunch or shopping. It a really nice small area but make sure and branch out a couple blocks. Jadore is a store you will love for home furnishing and fun ideas for the garden, etc. Love almost all the restaurants as well. Don't miss the Toy store or drug store cause they are really neat.

My wife and I lived at 6000 Brookside Blvd. for 6 years back in the 1980's. Lat week for the first time in 30 years we were back in KC for a convention. During a break in the convention scheduling we hopped in our car and headed back to see how our previous homestead was doing. As we drove up in front of the place the owner drove into his driveway and we had a 15 minute chat with him. His main comment regarding the Brookside district was that it had become one of the most desirable spots in KC in which to live. After our conversation, we drove around and sure enough, this area is just as cool as it was in the 1980's...a nearly endless number of well-kept homes and tree-lined streets everywhere we drove. As for home prices, we're from the west coast, so KC prices today still seem reasonable.

Then you are lucky enough! What a great little town to walk around. Plenty of restaurants and shops to enjoy. Bike trails with rentals. Very nice town.
