Five Hearts Preschool specializes in personal attention to every child due to it's small number of students. The preschool is owned and operated by Ms.Sandi who has taught for Washoe County School District in the early grades for 15 years. Her teaching experience also includes teaching dance and music to small children. The educational approach follows the Reggio Theory which builds curriculum on the children's interests. The preschool is in a lovely area of South Reno with a fully equipped learning room and large fenced outside play area. Language Arts, Math, Science, Music, Art, Dramatic Play, Movement and Character traits are all part of the daily curriculum. The preschool also provides a healthy snack daily to it's students. The school accepts children ages three to six who are potty trained. There are no more than six students per class allowing for individualized instruction which meets Nevada State Preschool Standards. Along with the certified teacher, Ms. Katie is a most qualified assistant. She has taught art to young children, substituted with the school district and is pursuing her Master's degree in Human Development.
