tripadvisorGreat place to go and see art. Worst parking ramp experiences ever, over chargingon my credit card and the sad part is the Not my problem staff that works at the museum
MoreThis was a great find. We had no idea it was so big. It contained art from a lot of different periods from all around the world. The layout of the museum was a bit confusing if you dont follow the map. The museum is free to all. They do charge for entry to the exhibits. Definitely recommend this. You will.need a few hours for this.
MoreMIA aka Minneapolis Institute of ArtFree. Cannot beat that price. This place is pretty big with 3 levels. Small elevators for the public. They have a gift shop and a food shop. Everything is spaced out. Wide space. There were many people but I never felt crowded. They even had a place for little kids to play.I came here to see the art items but I really came to see the $117 million dollar painting by Vincent Van Gogh. Nice. Original. Owned by the MIA.This is a masterpiece! If you live in MN and have not seen this, you are missing out on a masterpiece work of art.Highly recommended
MoreMy teenage son and I spent a few hours wandering around here on a Saturday afternoon. We were both really impressed. There's a wide range of exhibits but the most impressive were the Asian exhibits in which you could sit in elaborate rooms and nooks. It really gives you a glimpse of other places and shrines. There's a cafe that we didn't try out and the museum is free to enter. Consider donating though to keep it that way. Parking in the area can be hard and very busy. Be prepared to walk a block or so.
MoreI took my teenage nieces and their 2 friends here today. No admission fee but please donate to keep this place fabulous! The amount of art here is insane you can spend hours getting lost here and finding amazing places. Was so happy my nieces called today had been a while since I’ve been here and we had such a great time
