So much more than a craft store. Definitely the works of artists and artisans. Very unique, high quality products that are well displayed and reasonably priced. The staff takes extra special care to ensure your purchase is ready to gift (removing price tag and all adhesive, wrapping in tissue, etc).This place will always be a must stop on every trip I make to Missouri from now on!A word of caution though, if you drive an oversized vehicle. The shop is downtown and parking is at a premium. I was lucky enough to find two parking spaces together about a half mile from the shop, then enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the University of Missouri campus.

Wow, what a great arts gift store. Two best things about it are the uniqueness and the quality of the items for sale and the very reasonable prices. I bet you could do all your gift shopping here, make your loved ones happy AND save hundreds of dollars.

My favorite stop in Columbia on my way to St. Louis from KC. Staff, space, and selection of high quality handmade gifts is unmatched in the state. The gallery has also been awarded prestigious national awards by Niche Magazine and others over it's nearly 40 years in business in downtown Columbia. Their inventory is always changing with unusual and original gifts. It's a very relaxing and and sunny space with a very sweet staff.

Bluestem is a tradition in Columbia, It's located on South 9th street, so in the heart of the area where Mizzou students congregate. Although most craft stores are chintzy, this place has high-quality crafts, often by local designers, so they are not cheap. They also have hand crafted wooden toys for children and wall designs. It's worth stopping in if you are in Columbia.

Artwork decorates this quaint boutique and always has a nice variety from Missouri's best artisans. A favorite venue for gift givers!
