Gentry Middle School is located in Columbia, Mo. As a part of the Columbia Public Schools, it serves students in grades six and seven. The school offers an extensive curriculum in the areas of reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and health. It also offers elective courses in drama and vocal music, industrial technology, business education, arts, family and consumer sciences and foreign languages. The sports activities offered include basketball, track, football and soccer. The school s media center empowers students to effectively access, evaluate and utilize information. It also provides a wide selection of books and magazines. Gentry Middle School conducts a variety of after-school activities, including industrial technology, calculator, chess and computer clubs, math counts and geographic bee competition.
