tripadvisorVery disappointed! Filthy room, musty feel, asked for a blanket was told they did not have any left. Room had no soap and never refilled it. Loud hallway. Very pricy for a filthy stay. Definitely won’t be back.
MoreI had a reservation for Friday, October 9. Before the trip I called the hotel to confirm it. I told them I wouldn’t arrive until after 1:00 AM because my flight landed in Kansas City at 10:30 PM and I had a 2½-hour drive. The staff member thanked me for the notice and said they would make arrangements for my late arrival.I got there around 3:00 AM. No one was at the front desk for about 30 minutes. When an employee finally came, I was told I had been marked a no-show. The hotel was fully booked for the football weekend, and there was no room for me.I did everything right. I had a confirmed reservation and called ahead specifically to prevent this. At 3:30 AM on a game weekend in Columbia, there was nowhere else to go.If you’re arriving late, don’t count on a phone confirmation here. Get the late-arrival note in writing, or stay somewhere else.
MoreThis hotel is not your run of the mill hotel on the interstate. It’s in a tucked away location but very close to everything you need. Comfortable bed and clean. The staff was great. A fun design and theme.
MoreDo not go here or stay here at this moment in time unless you want to be rudely awakened before 630am with tons of pounding and things falling and hammering and ripping off the roof. I hear no clue this hotel was under construction on the roof and the room I was assigned to was on the top floor right under the construction. Having booked three weeks in advance, knowing that I was going to be moving my child into college on Friday morning I don’t think it was fair that the room they assigned me was literally the room under the roof construction I barely ever pay more than $90 for a room, but this time was special for me and my child. He had an infusion at the hospital on that Thursday and so I figured I’d splurge on a more expensive hotel so that our accommodations would seemingly be elite! Absolutely not the case here…also., no a/c in the hallways of the 3rd floor either.
MoreI recently stayed at Stoney Creek for the better part of 5 consecutive weeks (minus weekends) for business in town. Short of some very minor housekeeping needs the stay was very quiet, accommodating, and comfortable. My team especially enjoyed the early daily breakfast being ready in time for them to grab a meal prior to heading out to the job site. As for me personally I found the staff very pleasant and professional. GM Noelle went out of her way to make this a welcome and satisfying stay for all. She was even kind enough to keep me booked in a 1st floor room near all the conveniences during my stay as I was dealing with a knee injury at the time. I would definitely go back and recommend for any individual or business looking for a quaint budget friendly stay option with a pleasant and accommodating staff!
