If you are looking for the beach-surfing vibe this is the place for you. They have beach chairs , boogie boards and other amenities in the lobby......FOR FREE ... (first come first serve) Clean rooms and cold A/C. Comfortable beds and welcoming helpful staff. And the best prices for something this close to the beach in So. Cal. Probably not for you if your looking for something fancy....but we loved it.

The rooms were clean; the shower handle removable (LOL) which made hot water hard to come by. The common areas were a mess with trash bags under the stairs that had been sitting for a while. Beach toys stuffed under the stairs in the lobby, covered in sand and the continental breakfast closed at 7am on a Saturday in the height of beach season. The desk clerk could have cared less if we stayed or not. It is close to the beach, but the Travel Lodge down the way has beach front access and is far superior.

We booked two ocean front rooms to visit Huntington Beach with family. Definitely worth paying extra for the ocean view, otherwise I wouldn’t give it 4 stars. Very simple hotel, good budget option and great location right across from the beach. You can use their beach chairs and board games, and enjoy the solarium - we didn’t due to weather conditions. No dining room, you need to take your breakfast tray to your room

Wonderful room and location! Just a short walk to the beach and Capt Jack's (for dinner) and Woody's (for a big breakfast). Would highly recommend.

Ocean Surf Inn & Suites is a cute little spot in Sunset Beach, just a short walk to the beach and some nearby restaurants. Nothing fancy, but the room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The bathroom could use a bit of an update, but it did the job. Parking was decent—there’s a structure plus street options. Breakfast is included, though it’s pretty basic, so don’t expect anything spectacular. Overall, it’s a nice place to spend a night or two if you want to be close to the beach without breaking the bank.
