tripadvisorStayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Overland Park while visiting friends. The room was clean and comfortable, easy to come back to after being out, and the location made getting around simple. Staff were friendly and everything ran smoothly. Low stress for a casual trip.
MoreMy husband and I.i stayed four nights here at the end of August and booked a room rate with breakfast. We travel a lot, both US and internationally. I was very impressed by the staff here— reception, breakfast crew, housekeeping, as everyone we encountered greeted up, and all our requests were met with professionalism. All employees displayed pride in themselves and their work, which is a rare commodity.Breakfast was delicious, and the tables were enhanced by fresh flowers Thank you for your work!
MoreThis was an extremely disappointing stay. The room was not clean, and on top of the cost of the room, you are required to pay for parking. Breakfast is also not included, and in my opinion, it is definitely not worth paying extra for.The only positive part of our stay was Gloria, our server at breakfast. She was extremely pleasant, friendly, and provided excellent service. She managed to make an otherwise disappointing breakfast experience enjoyable.I stay at Hilton properties frequently, and this was easily one of my worst experiences. Between the cleanliness of the room, additional parking fees, and poor-quality breakfast, I cannot recommend this property. I would strongly suggest staying somewhere else—even if your options are limited. This hotel simply is not worth the money.
MoreWe spent the night here when we came to town for a concert. The location was great and the staff friendly. The price of the room was good considering the World Cup was also happening in town. The room was nice and the blackout curtain was VERY effective! However, the room was rather worn in places. The bottom of the bathroom door frame was rusted out and the tile in the entry way end bathroom were really dirty. It didn't appear as if they had been mopped in a long time. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept great. You do need to watch your knees when walling walking near the foot of the beds as the box they sit on stick out past the mattress and you will hit your knee on them.Overall, this was a nice place to stay.
MoreWarning: this is the third hotel in the OP area with a hot water issue. There was a convention over the weekend and the hotel was very busy. During peak times (mornings and evenings) water got to lukewarm but never hot. Yesterday there was no hot water even at 10:00 pm - today - ice cold at 8:00 am. This is unacceptable. If you need new boilers - get them & stop expecting hotel guests to be ok without hot water - especially in the winter!
