We saw Hallelujah Girls with Richard Karn. It was wonderful and funny. Buffet was sooo delicious! Everything we need in this world!

I wish I could give this experience a 5. The venue is great. The hospitality was warm and attentive. The show, we saw Legally Blonde, was phenomenal. But this is a dinner theater and the dinner was lacking. I understand a vegan isn’t a target market for the New Theater, but in 2026, is it so hard to have one vegan friendly dish? My husband called ahead to request a dish for me as was instructed and what was available was an unseasoned plate of steamed carrots, green beans, and potatoes. I do love vegetables, but, come on. It isn’t hard to do one vegan-friendly dish well.

What a fabulous experience! From the beginning to the end service was outstanding, atmosphere was beautiful, talent was wonderful -music and singing, food was very good! Would be happy to go here again.

As soon as we sat down, the server brought our rolls for the salad. She tipped over a glass of cold water on my wife. It hit her shirt and pants and went down into her shoes. Our server apologized and said she would get the manager. The manager came and said very little. No apology. We asked for a new tablecloth, as the one we had was soaked. Said he would get a towel and left. Another server came back with a hand towel to put under my wife's table setting. That was all that was done. The manager never came back to check on us or help. My wife sat through the dinner and play in wet clothes. This was a horrible experience. He should have done something other than a hand towel.

New Theatre is a must in K. C. if you like to eat large quantities of very good gourmet food from a buffet and liking fun acting by mid-level stars. It is in Overland Park, Kansas, just a few miles across the border on Metcalf, which is a main street in OP KS.
